This Monday morning conversation went everywhere—which is exactly how Mugshot Monday is supposed to work.

We started with our coffee mugs and one of our favorite painfully awkward episodes of The Office, then turned the spotlight toward Pop Drinks Abilene and our friend Melanie Unger, who's joining us Wednesday on Behind the X's & O's.

That customer spotlight also opened up a bigger conversation about support—why entrepreneurs shouldn't spend so much energy worrying about who's not supporting them, why relationships matter, and why years of consistently showing up can make the next thing you build a little easier.

We also talked about the movie Those Who Wish Me Dead, getting back into the gym, farmer's carries, and why Ruben chose a movie over watching the Cowboys this weekend. 😂

Then we got into UFC 331, including the shocking Gable Steveson loss and a bigger question:

Should losing bother you?

There's a difference between being a poor sport and becoming comfortable with losing. Sometimes getting knocked down is exactly what reminds you that you still have another fight in front of you.

And that's where today's conversation landed:

Don't dwell on yesterday's failure—but don't live off yesterday's success either.

You still have to show up today.

Because success isn't something you own.

Success is rented—and the rent is due every day.
